The BOK Center has a new No. 2 executive.
Jeff Nickler has been chosen as the venue's assistant general manager. He replaces Jerry Goldman, who left recently to become the general manager of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island, N.Y.
Nickler began working at the BOK Center before its grand opening in 2008 and has served as its director of special events and booking.
Nickler's work has included creating and developing special events that have brought a quarter of a million visitors annually to downtown Tulsa, including Winterfest, the Rock 'n Rib Festival, the ONEOK Outdoor Concert Series and others.
"Jeff has been a tremendous asset in the success of the BOK Center," arena general manager John Bolton said.
Nickler said he looks forward to building upon the BOK Center's strong track record.
"I will strive to promote both our venue and city to the music and touring industry to help maintain the BOK Center's status as one of the nation's top concert destinations," he said.
Nickler serves on the International Association of Venue Managers Arenas Committee and is a member of the International Entertainment Buyers Association and the Country Music Association.
Before coming to work at the BOK Center, Nickler was the guest services departmental trainer for the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in Miami Beach, Fla.
