»» Jasson Blair, who led Bixby receivers with 65 catches for 1,201 yards and scored 16 touchdowns as a junior last year, is suspended indefinitely and his status is uncertain for the upcoming season. He also led Bixby with five interceptions on defense.
»» Bixby's returning receivers include Andrew Pence, who had 36 catches for 358 yards and two TDs, and DeAndre Jennings, who had 27 catches for 369 yards and two TDs.
»» The Spartans have a streak of 12 consecutive playoff seasons.
»» Bixby has traditionally played Jenks in the season opener, but their meeting won't take place this year until Week 9 because the teams have moved into the same district.
