Phillip Phillips won this season's "American Idol." Are you ready to win next year?
Locals with "Idol" aspirations won't have that far to drive this time, as "American Idol" auditions are coming to Oklahoma City on July 18-20. The venue has yet to be announced.
First, though, you have to prove at the time of your registration and audition that you're a legal U.S. citizen or a permanent U.S. resident who's eligible to work full time in the United States. Also, you have to be 15 to 28 years old on June 5 - or, in other words, born on or between June 6, 1983, and June 5, 1997.
As of now, it's anticipated that registration will begin two days before the audition day in each city, according to the show's season 12 audition rules. You should come to the venue and register during designated times on either of the two registration days prior to the audition day.
It's anticipated that registration will start no later than 8 a.m. on the first registration day in each city and will continue until the early morning of the actual audition day.
You also have to bring two forms of ID on registration day that show proof of age, plus a photograph - like a birth certificate and driver's license, birth certificate and passport, or birth certificate and student ID. Then, you'll be given a wristband and seat ticket - provided, of course, some are still be available for that particular venue.
All information concerning registration and audition locations, dates and times is tentative at this time, the website stated.
