What's your favorite football team?
It'll always be the Dallas Cowboys.
When are they going to do something in the playoffs?
They will this year. I say that every year. Every year, I say they're gonna win the Super Bowl. My friends send me texts every time (the Cowboys) lose. But I feel it this year.
Do you take a lot of kidding over the Cowboys?
That, and whenever I get beat in a video game, I hear the worst of it.
Why is that?
I'm really competitive, and people know how losing gets me down. I don't get mad, I just laugh it off. But it's funny, because when they beat me, they start jumping up and down.
What was it like working with former TU quarterback Paul Smith in the offseason?
He helped me throw a lot better from the shotgun and he's made me think differently about defensive coverages.
What are your favorite things to do away from football?
Fishing and hanging out with my girlfriend.
What's your best fishing story?
A few days ago, I was out fishing with a friend and I caught a 5-pound bass. It's like the biggest bass I've ever caught.
What's the most embarrassing thing you've done in a game?
Last year, when I forgot about the new play clocks we had just put in. We were ahead, it was late in the game, and I was needing to run the time down before we snapped the ball. I was watching the referee, waiting for his hand to come up, and he brought out his flag and penalized us. The coaches were like, "Dude, what are you doing?"
