Letter to the Editor: Pardon Ersland

Gov. Mary Fallin states she plans to be active in Mitt Romney's campaign if asked. I only wish the governor would honor the wishes of more than 100,000 Oklahomans and pardon Jerome Ersland from his life sentence in prison.
If the governor will recall, Ersland was the pharmacist who shot dead a common thug who was in the process of robbing Ersland's pharmacy back in 2010. The Oklahoma County district attorney charged Ersland with murder. Ersland was protecting himself and his employees during this armed robbery.
To many of us, the health and well-being of Oklahomans and Ersland are far more important than the governor's political cronies.
