A Tulsa man was arrested within hours of a fatal shooting at an apartment complex Sunday morning.
Emergency responders found the victim, Deonte Fulsom, 19, near a stairwell at the Silverstone Apartments, 13195 E. 31st St., shortly before 11 a.m., Tulsa Police Sgt. Dave Walker said.
The victim died at St. Francis Hospital, Walker said. The homicide is the 26th in Tulsa this year.
Dalven Davonta Moore, 20, was arrested by the Tulsa Police Department's Gang Unit on Sunday afternoon. Moore was booked into the Tulsa Jail on a second-degree murder complaint after he was questioned by detectives. His bail is set at $500,000.
Witnesses identified Moore as the shooter, according to his arrest report.
Police believe Fulsom was shot during a gunfight and said several shell casings were found in several areas of the apartment complex.
Patrol officers responded Saturday night to a disturbance that might be connected to the shooting, Walker said.
Police are seeking information from several people who were seen fleeing the scene, including a man driving a blue Chevrolet Aveo.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS (2677) or to submit a tip online at tulsaworld.com/crimestoppers. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may earn a cash reward.
