Letter to the Editor: Where’s the beef?

Up front, I am a registered Republican
and have been so for most of my
voting life. I have voted in every election
in which I have been able to vote
during my 65 years. I have lived in Oklahoma,
California, Nevada, Hawaii and
North Dakota.
I have never seen a more juvenile
campaign by two Republicans than
what I am seeing now in the race between
incumbent U.S. Rep. John Sullivan
and challenger Jim Bridenstine.
As the classic hamburger commercial
once proclaimed: “Where’s the beef?”
Voting records are statistics and everyone
knows that statistics are whatever
the statistician wants them to be.
So in the next few days before the
election, please tell us Okies, where’s
the beef! We need to know what these
candidates will do for you, me and
Oklahoma in the future. Not what they
have done in the past.
