Oklahoma State pitcher Andrew Heaney racked up more All-America honors with Friday's announcement that he was selected to Baseball America's College Baseball first team.
The junior left-hander has also been named first-team All America by Collegiate Baseball, the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and the American Baseball Coaches Association.
Heaney is the first Cowboy to earn first-team All-America honors by Baseball America since Jason Bell in 1994. He is the program's 10th player overall to receive the honor.
Heaney was the ninth overall pick by Miami in this month's Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.
In 15 starts, Heaney was 8-2 with a 1.60 ERA. He had six complete games and totaled an NCAA-leading 140 strikeouts in 118.1 innings.
