Salsa Fest set for Friday at Centennial Green

Elote Cafe and Catering is bringing back the Chihuahuas, dancing and more this weekend with Salsa Fest.

The festival is set for 5 to 10 p.m. Friday at the H.A. Chapman Centennial Green park, Sixth Street and Boston Avenue.

Find music by DJ Dilation at 5 p.m. and Sol Azteca at 6 p.m.

The pepper eating contest kicks off at 7 p.m. and the Chihuahuas line up to race at 7:45 p.m. Sign up for the pepper and costume contests, as well as the race, in the volunteer tent.

Winners will be announced at 8:15 p.m.
