Five men in ski masks held a woman and her 5-year-old daughter at gunpoint as they ransacked their house late Thursday, Tulsa police said.

The men broke through the front door, forced the residents into a bathtub and tore through the house in the 300 block of West 50th Street North shortly after 11:30 p.m., Officer Leland Ashley said.

The woman told police that she was in a back room when she heard a loud noise and then saw at least five men, several with guns, Ashley said.

The men grabbed both residents and put them in the bathtub as they thoroughly scoured the home, moving furniture and sifting through the residents' belongings, Ashley said.

The extent of the search implies that men were looking for something specific, he said.

They made off with money, jewelry and a television.

The woman and girl, the only people home at the time, were not injured.

Police had only a vague description of the robbers, whose ski masks kept the woman from getting a good look, Ashley said.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS or tulsaworld.com/crimestoppers.
