The U.S. Supreme Court's decision on the Affordable Care and Patient Protection Act ("Obamacare") is a huge step forward for women. Beginning in August, millions of women will have access to birth control without a co-pay.

Despite attempts by the Oklahoma Legislature and Congress to make birth control a political and social issue, to women it is a basic health-care concern. Unfortunately, this basic health care costs a lot of money - up to $600 a year for some women. Thanks to the health-care act, women won't have to wonder if they can afford birth control anymore - they can.
