EDMOND — St. John the Baptist Catholic Church officials reported to Edmond police that $109,454 may have been embezzled from church coffers, according to a police report released Tuesday.
The possible embezzlement at the church at 924 S Littler occurred from Jan. 1, 2004, to Feb. 1. Police were notified Friday.
Jennifer Monroe, Edmond police spokeswoman, said more of the report will be released once a detective has time to speak with a suspect and conduct an investigation.
Edmond police gives its officers five days to complete a report and turn it in to a supervisor for approval. This does not include regular days off or training days.
