Oklahoma songbird Miranda Lambert ruffled the feathers of some of her fans in the past week after she postponed a series of tour stops last weekend on doctor's orders.

The doctor ordered her to postpone even more shows this weekend to rest her strained voice, she said in a statement to fans.

"I'm so sorry to disappoint the fans that have already bought tickets to see me," she said. "I'm taking care of my voice, and I can't wait to get on the road again and bring you a hell of a show."

A representative for Lambert also confirmed that the musician had "overextended" her voice.

Everything has been pulled from her official website's tour calendar through July 26.

Several shows have already been rescheduled for Oct. 4 in Orange Beach, Ala., Oct. 5 in Atlanta and Oct. 6 in Pelham, Ala. More will be announced soon, she said on her website.

There was no hint as to whether more tour dates might be in jeopardy.
