Letter to the Editor: A challenge

So Associate Editor Mike Jones ("Sniffers," July 8) believes the American public has developed a particular quality when it comes to sniffing out the charlatans and phonies?
Maybe so, but apparently Jones isn't one of them. Perhaps Jones' own sniffer is masked by the stench of daily hypocrisy waffling out of the Tulsa World editorial section. So, I have a challenge for him and the rest of the leftist editorial staff of the Tulsa World to prove me wrong - and anybody else affiliated at the Tulsa World concerning the endorsement in this year's presidential election.
This fall, knowing fully well Barack Obama is going to get resoundingly defeated in Oklahoma, why doesn't the editorial staff of the Tulsa World and its executive management be true to themselves - stop with the gamesmanship and tight-rope walking, and endorse Obama for president? Because the editorial staff's daily demagoguing for leftist big government while posing middle of the road couldn't be any more malodorous to many of those with the "sniffers."
That way, Mike Jones won't have to demean, marginalize and criticize the entire Mitt Romney agenda for four years with his flavor of the propaganda after endorsing Romney, should Romney win the presidency. And Jones, the rest of the editorial staff and their cartoonist can do so with clear conscience.
