Letter to the Editor: Similarities

I want to say right up front that I am against the Kialegee Indian tribe building the casino in Broken Arrow. It is a terrible location for that type of business - especially just across the street from the Tulsa Tech campus.

However, if the Indians who own the property had been black, it would be a different situation altogether. Jesse Jackson and probably Cherokee Principal Chief Bill John Baker and the Cherokee Freedmen would have swarmed all over the place and the casino would be operational by the weekend.

I don't have any proof of this other than the history of similar past occurrences.
