Oklahoma State basketball received its first verbal commitment Sunday for the Class of 2013.

Leyton Hammonds, a 6-foot-6 small forward from North Richland Hills (Texas), is ranked as the 21st-best player in the state by TexasHoops.com. He also has offers from Oklahoma, Clemson, Colorado, Houston, Creighton and TCU.

Hammonds’ AAU team is the Dallas Mustangs, for whom OSU sophomore Le’Bryan Nash also played.
