Rogers said tying for second place in the Class 4A state golf tournament was the highlight of his prep career. He posted a 54-hole total of 209, good for 7-under par at Lake Hefner's North Course, finishing two shots behind medalist Trent Mewbourn of Oklahoma City Heritage Hall.
Is that the best you've ever played over three rounds?
Yes it was.
What are your college plans?
I'm going to OU and be in a fraternity and see what that's like.
Are you hoping to play competitively after this?
No, I'm done.
Who's your favorite pro golfer, and why?
Probably John Daly. I just feel like he's a natural.
Which character in the new "Avengers" film is most like you?
I'd have to go with Ironman. I just like him.
Spider-Man or Batman?
Batman. I like the movies better.
What's the best part of your game?
Probably my short game. Pitching and chipping has carried me a lot when I'm not hitting the ball that well.
