Danna Sue Walker: Pizza, poker school benefit set

Pizza of all kinds will be on the menu when San Miguel School of Tulsa holds its Pizza and Poker Friend and Fun Raiser beginning at 6 p.m. Aug. 2 at the Bishop Kelley High School Cafeteria.
Joe Townsend, pastor of The Church of Saint Benedict in Broken Arrow, will host the benefit that will offer pizza, black jack and poker with the buy-in for games set at $50.
Eric J. Robb will provide the music.
Proceeds will benefit San Miguel, which is dedicated to empowering economically and educationally disadvantaged children to achieve academic and personal success through a non-tuition driven, Lasallian education. The school was established in 2004 and this May the first San Miguel students will graduate high school.
Up for bid will be a two-night trip to Las Vegas for two, a party venue at Rucker Warehouse, a beer tasting for six hosted by Elliot Nelson at McNellies, a Ti Amo gift card, and Father Joe's Pizza Party for 20.
Sponsors are Jackie Cooper Imports of Tulsa, Greg and Connie Kach, Mike and Shelley Dill, Fr. Joe Townsend, Bishop Kelley High School, Gourmet on the Go, Debbie Crowley, Knights of Columbus No. 6606, Knights of Columbus No. 1104, McNellie's, Eric J. Robb, Ti Amo, Jack and Heather Carlson, Litgistix, John and Barbara Turner, and John and Linda Rucker.
Event tickets are $20 per person. Those attending must be 21 years of age or older.
Patron tables of eight are available for $300 and include $50 Miguel Bucks.
