An 18-year-old faces charges in district court after a 3-year-old was shot in the foot during a car chase, filings show.

Terry “T.J.” Finch, 18, is accused of robbing Marcus Goodou Jr. of money, a ring and his car on July 17, a felony case filed in Tulsa County District Court on Thursday shows. Finch allegedly threatened Goodou with a pistol before fleeing with his property.

In addition to the armed robbery charge, Finch is charged with assault and battery with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm after juvenile adjudication. Prosecutors assert Finch shot Marcus Goodou Sr. and his three-year-old daughter on July 18.

Police said Goodou Sr. followed Finch after spotting his son’s stolen car near 200 E. 36th Street. Officers believe Finch opened fire on Goodou Sr. during the chase. Goodou and his daughter survived the shooting.

Finch and two others were apprehended after attempting to flee the scene on foot. The others have yet to be charged.

He is being held at the Tulsa Jail. Osage County has placed a hold on Finch for outstanding charges of assault with a deadly weapon filed July 20.
