Oklahoma State University nearing its $1 billion goal

sSTILLWATER — Oklahoma State University's Branding Success campaign is nearing its $1 billion goal.
Officials said Tuesday the school has raised $906.1 million and attracted support from 77,621 donors. According to a report from the Oklahoma State University Foundation, the school received support totaling $157.3 million from July 1, 2011, to June 30, exceeding its goal of $120 million.
Among the new contributions is a gift of cash, pledges and an estate commitment from alums Chuck and Kim Watson that will have a total impact of $36 million. Officials said the gift will build the new home for the Spears School of Business and create the Watson Graduate School of Management.
Other gifts from alums include $7.5 million from Malone and Amy Mitchell and $1 million from Norman and Suzanne Myers.
