Body found in church parking lot identified as Stilwell man

STILWELL — A man found dead in an Adair County church parking lot was identified as Michael Wayne Shell, 45, said Jessica Brown, Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman on Thursday.
Shell, of Stilwell, was found lying in the parking lot of the Pleasant Valley Holiness Church by the church’s pastor. The church is about 10 west of Stilwell.
OSBI agents are now running multiple leads in this homicide case, Brown said. The state’s Medical Examiner’s office has not ruled on how Shell died but did said the victim’s head trauma points to a homicide, she said.
