Two drivers were killed Saturday morning after they were ejected in separate rollover accidents, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Killed were Waymon Lloyd Barrett, 52, of Cushing and Steven D. Conrad, 25, of Miami.

Barrett was driving a 2000 Ford Taurus south on Lincoln County Road 3500, also known as Kendricke Road, near 750 Road when he lost control and overcorrected just south of Cushing around 6:51 a.m., troopers said. The car left the roadway, rolled two times and crashed through a fence, ejecting Barrett 72 feet.

Conrad was ejected after the 2004 Kia Optima he was driving west on Oklahoma 10 left the roadway and became airborne on an embankment 3 miles east of Welch at 5:25 a.m., an Oklahoma Highway Patrol release states. The car rolled twice after flying 105 feet, troopers said. The report indicates Conrad was sleepy and attributes the wreck to inattention.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene. They were not wearing seatbelts.
