"The Big Chill" at the Tulsa Zoo can help you stay cool. Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, kids can enjoy the zoo's inflatable water slides all day for just $5. To beat the heat, you can also make use of the zoo's early summer hours, starting at 7 a.m. If you can't make it on a weekend, the zoo's summer "Two for Tuesdays" deal might lure you in, when you buy one admission and get the second free.

Or head to the Oklahoma Aquarium to enjoy the sea creatures in their numerous exhibits. The aquarium's Extreme Water Park is also open and features a variety of slides and splash zones.
