When Michele Bachmann was a simple-minded lass in Iowa, she had many goals: be a famous comedienne, be a loud, demented voice on the political stage, be a member of Congress, be president of our nation, and be the bearer of bad tidings about good people.
Her latest allegation regarding Huma Abedin (deputy chief of staff to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton) contains specious, ignorant remarks that prove Bachmann is indeed "the mouth that explodes with stupidity" (Jon Stewart, July 19).
Editor's note: Bachmann suggested that Abedin, a top aide to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, might have ties to the Muslim Brotherhood - a claim widely condemned as unsubstantiated.
