Owasso motorcyclist killed in Louisiana accident

BOSSIER CITY, La. — An Oklahoma motorcyclist died in a two-vehicle crash south of Bossier City, La.
Louisiana State Police said 37-year-old Michael Dodson of Owasso, Okla., was driving a 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle east along Sligo Road Tuesday afternoon when it crossed the center lane and struck head-on a Chevrolet truck driven.
Troopers said Dodson was pronounced dead at the scene and the truck driver suffered moderate injuries.
Investigators tell The Times Dodson was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash but it was not a U.S. Department of Transportation approved helmet.
