Woman found dead outside home near Watonga

WATONGA — The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is looking into the death of a woman whose body was found outside her home near Watonga.
OSBI said investigators believe 70-year-old Sherry Ann Compton had been dead several days before her body was discovered by a friend on Tuesday. Authorities said the friend called the Blaine County Sheriff's Office after the discovery, and investigators there requested help from OSBI to process the scene.
The medical examiner's office will determine the cause and manner of death for Compton. OSBI said the death is now considered suspicious.
