Tulsa manufacturer AAON Inc. reported record profits and revenues for the second quarter Wednesday, ending several quarters of lackluster results for the air conditioning and heater unit maker.
AAON Inc. had net income of $9.3 million, up nearly 150 percent from the $3.8 million profit the company reported the same quarter of 2011.
Revenues were $83.3 million, an increase of 21 percent from the second quarter of 2011.
CEO Norm Asbjornson attributed the results to taking sales from competitors.
“The increase in revenues primarily reflects gains in market share,” he said in a statement.
Sales and income are also up substantially for the first six months of the year, the company reported.
