GUTHRIE — Three college students were arrested Tuesday and booked into the Logan County jail after an Oklahoma City family was robbed at gunpoint.
The family was robbed Saturday night in rural Logan County where they went to purchase a Chevy pickup advertised on craigslist, according to an Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation news release.
Authorities said Jorge Morales, his wife and three young children went to a house on a dead-end street to meet the seller. Two females with handguns and one male walked up to the vehicle. One woman demanded Morales give her the $3,500 cash he brought for the purchase of the pickup, according to the news release.
The three robbers got away with the cash and no one was hurt, the OSBI reported.
