Man fatally shoots himself at Stillwater hospital

STILLWATER — Authorities said a 53-year-old Oklahoma State University employee fatally shot himself in a restroom at a Stillwater hospital.
Capt. Randy Dickerson said the man walked into the emergency room at Stillwater Medical Center at about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. Dickerson tells the Stillwater NewsPress that the man then went into a public restroom and shot himself in the chest.
The hospital said staff members pressed a panic button and the emergency room went into lockdown as a precaution after the shooting.
OSU said the man, whose name hasn't been released, worked at the school's botanic garden.
