"Hot Fun in the Summertime" is back - this time with a twist of lime.
The American Theatre Company will turn up the heat for its 2012 annual benefit and show set to begin at 6 p.m. Aug. 24 at the Central Center in Centennial Park, Sixth and Peoria.
The evening of show tunes, beach music and sketches written by ATC company members Bob Odle and Robert Walters will also include dinner under the supervision of chef Keith Jimerson with appetizers from some of Tulsa's leading restaurants. Lambrusco'z will provide the dessert.
Show headliners will feature Heather Richetto-Rumley, Jeremy Stevens, Anna Neal, Jeremy Geiger, Bob Odle and Robert Walters performing political humor and selections from ATC's upcoming "A Grand Night for Singing," the music of Rogers and Hammerstein and past ATC show tunes.
The honorary chairs are Julie Roffers and Jim Langdon. Julie Chin will be the emcee.
Event chairs are ATC board vice-chair Kathryn Shackelford and her husband, Mark Shackelford.
Committee members include board chairman Bud Sartain, Vince LoVoi, Robert Huffman, Steve Fate, Doretta Karns, Bonnie Edwards, Joshua Morrison, Rebecca Marks, Paddy Harwell, Jo Wimer, Dan McGeehan, Edward Durnal, Joshua Morrison and JoNelle Parks along with a host of ATC volunteers and supporters.

Auctioneer Jay Litchfield will conduct the live auction, which will feature a one-week stay in a Florida beach condo; a flight on a 1941 North American AT-6 warbird with owner and pilot John Esposito; a one week stay in New Orleans; beer tasting at McNellie's; Fire Station 14 Dinner for Six; the popular "Git Out of the Doghouse" package; the "Man Cave" package, which includes a foosball table and juke box; a tailgate party from Elmer's Bar-B-Que; a week's stay at a mountain home in Vail Valley, Colo.; and a walk-on part in "A Christmas Carol."
Add to that a silent auction and a wine pull.
"Hot Fun In the Summertime" is presented with the assistance from Oklahoma Arts Council, National Endowment for the Arts, and Saied Music Co.
