With sophomore forward Rashad Smith scoring 22 points and senior guard Scottie Haralson adding 18, the University of Tulsa basketball team opened a four-game Canadian exhibition tour with Wednesday's 90-44 victory over Brock University at St. Catharines, Ont.
For new coach Danny Manning, 11 Golden Hurricane players scored and 11 players got at least 10 minutes of playing time. Redshirt freshman forward Brandon Swannegan totaled 10 points as TU shot 51 percent from the field. Brock University shot just 25 percent from the field while committing 27 turnovers.
TU got 36 points from first-year members of Manning's rebuilt TU squad.
The Hurricane plays at Ryerson University on Thursday and at Seneca College on Friday. Both schools are located in the Toronto area. The tour concludes on Saturday, when TU faces an A-Game Hoops team at Seneca College.
