U.S. No 1 HARD RED WINTER WHEAT: .26 to .33 higher. 8.35-8.58.

Davis 8.35, Banner, El Reno, Frederick, Geary, Lawton, Okarche, Okeene, Watonga 8.46, Weatherford 8.48, Alva, Buffalo, Clinton, Manchester, Shattuck 8.49, Eldorado, Hobart, temple 8.51, Keyes 8.52, Cherokee, Medford, Ponca City 8.53, Perry, Stillwater 8.54, Hooker 8.58, Gulf 9.61.

MILO: .32 to .36 higher. 13.17-14.32.

COTTON: Grade 41, Leaf 4, Staple 34 Cotton in southwestern Oklahoma averaged 70.75 cents per pound.

EGGS: Large 1.27; medium 97 cents; small 83 cents.

Oklahoma livestock

The state Department of Agriculture reported the following Wednesday at the Oklahoma City Stockyards:

Receipts: 6,888; week ago: 6,865; year ago: 6,853.

Compared to last week: Feeder steers over 750 lbs and heifers over 700 lbs steady to 2 higher in a light test. Lighter weight feeder steers and heifers sold 3-5 higher. Steer and heifer calves 3-5 higher. Demand extremely good for light weight feeder cattle as numbers of these expected to be limited going into the final quarter of the year. Demand continues very good for calves as another weekend of rains makes wheat pasture even more promising. Quality plain to average, end attractive. Weigh-ups average to full. Supply included 64 percent over 600 lbs; 41 percent heifers.
