Broken Arrow's Devon Thomas not in uniform for game against Owasso

OWASSO – For undisclosed reasons, junior running back Devon Thomas was not in uniform for Broken Arrow’s high school football season opener at the Owasso Rams on Friday night.

Cameron Wrenn had all but three of the Tigers’ first-half carries, rushing for 71 yards on 15 attempts. Owasso led 10-6 after the first two quarters.

Thomas was rated the area's top overall prep player in the Tulsa World's All-World rankings. As a sophomore, he rushed for 1,840 yards and 22 touchdowns. He has already attracted scholarship offers from Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Clemson, West Virginia and Houston.
