OKLAHOMA CITY — More than 700 customers are without electricity as storms make their way through the Oklahoma City area.

Oklahoma Gas & Electric said the outages are affecting customers in south and west Oklahoma City.

The National Weather Service said the storms will slowly dissipate while moving eastward through Oklahoma on Wednesday. Stray thunderstorms and wind gusts up to 40 mph are possible.

As the storms move out, hot temperatures are expected in Oklahoma. An air quality alert is in place for the Oklahoma City metropolitan area because of expected high concentrations of ozone.
