Playoff schedule: On Friday, the series shifts to Springfield for the final three games. Game 3 is at 7:08 p.m. Friday, Game 4 (if needed) at 6:08 p.m. Saturday and Game 5 (if needed) at 3:08 p.m. Sunday. Tulsa or Springfield will host the South Division finals winner on Tuesday and Wednesday nights in the Texas League Championship Series. The South winner would then host the final potential three games on Sept. 14-16.
Playoff history: In eight of the nine previous playoff series that the Drillers have opened at home, the team that was won Game 1 also has won Game 2. In the Drillers' eight playoff series victories, they have won the opener seven times.
Former Drillers promoted: Rob Scahill, who went 12-11 for Tulsa in 2011, will be promoted to the majors by the Colorado Rockies for the first time on Thursday. Scahill was 9-11 with a 5.68 ERA for Triple-A Colorado Springs this season.
