Tulsey Awards kick-off event set for tonight

A kick-off event for the 5th Annual Tulsey Awards will be held this evening from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Vintage 1740, a wine bar at 1740 S. Boston Ave.
Nominations for this entrepreneurial competition will be accepted starting today through Oct. 1. and can be submitted via the website www.thetulseys.com, which should be up just before this evening’s kick-off party.
The Tulsey Awards recognize the entrepreneurial heroes, pioneers, and innovators of Tulsa who significantly impact the local economy.
Nominations will be accepted in 10 categories: civic, emerging, arts and entertainment, franchise, green, interactive, legend, serial, young and restaurateur. All entrepreneurs nominated and accepted into the public voting process will automatically be entered into the Entrepreneur of the Year category.
The competition is open to any entrepreneur living and, or working in the Tulsa metro region who has been involved in founding, co-founding and, or starting a business or organizational endeavor. Eligible entries can range from start-up to ongoing business endeavors. Entrepreneurs will only be eligible for one main category.
Voting for the nominees will begin on Oct. 10 via the website and will end on Nov. 1.
The Tulsey Award winners will be announced Nov. 15.
