Police identify shooting victims

Tulsa police on Tuesday released the names of three shooting victims found in the front yard of a duplex and on a nearby street Monday.

Everett L. Adkins, 22, and Makala F. White, 25, were found with in a front yard on Owasso Place near 63rd Street with gunshot wounds around 1:30 a.m. Shametra J. Fields, 25, was found lying in the roadway on nearby 63rd Street, police said.

Each of the victims suffered gunshot wounds to the chest, and both women had been shot in the head as well, said Sgt. Gary Otterstrom on Monday.

Officer Leland Ashley confirmed Fields as the victim homicide detectives consider to be in “very grave condition.” Adkins and White also remain hospitalized.

Police are looking for two men they believe to be involved in the shooting. They have not released a detailed description of the suspects.
