A Houston TV station is reporting Oklahoma State and Mississippi State have reached a tentative agreement to play a football game next season at Reliant Stadium.

When contacted Tuesday, OSU athletic director Mike Holder would not comment on whether a verbal agreement between the two schools has been reached but said no written contract had been signed.

The game, reported by KRIV in Houston, would likely be the first week of the season, when OSU and Mississippi State both have an opening.

The rest of the Cowboys' nonconference schedule includes a visit to Texas-San Antonio in Week 2 and a home date against Lamar in Week 3.
