VINSON - A disabled man shot and killed a 50-year-old woman who allegedly was burglarizing his home Thursday in western Oklahoma, according to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

The man woke up in his home just after noon Thursday and found three women in his home, according to an OSBI press release. The man shot one woman, Mary Kathleen Sanders, of Elk City, just outside his home. Sanders is a former employee of the homeowner.

The other two women fled the home in a Ford Mustang, according to the OSBI. Misty Dawn Puskaric, 26, and Starr Michelle Timmons, 37, were later stopped by Beckham County deputies and booked in the Beckham County Jail on complaints of first degree burglary.

Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation agents searched the Ford Mustang the women were stopped in for evidence of the break in.

Puskaric and Timmons were expected to be transported to the Harmon County Jail.
