STILLWATER -- Oklahoma State quarterback Wes Lunt left the Cowboys' game Saturday against Louisiana-Lafayette with a left-knee injury and the severity is unknown.

On OSU's sixth play, Lunt was blitzed and hit by a defender. He immediately grabbed his knee and was examined on the field by athletic trainers and medical personnel.

After several minutes, Lunt was helped off the field and was able to walk gingerly. His knee was iced and bandaged on the sideline and then he was given crutches to walk into the locker room for X-rays.

During the TV broadcast, Fox Sports reported Lunt's injury was not serious and he would be out two or three weeks.

Backup J.W. Walsh has been playing in Lunt's place.
