The Tulsa County Election Board certified the Aug. 28 election of Pat Key as county clerk on Wednesday.
Dean Martin, Key's opponent in the Republican primary for the open office, challenged her victory with a recount and questions of irregularities in some absentee ballots.
The recount showed Key with a 184-vote win. Last week Tulsa County District Judge William Kellough ruled out a few of the affidavits that accompanied absentee ballots and said election board officials might not have been as diligent as they should have, but he said the problems weren't sufficient to invalidate the election results.
With the primary victory, Key wins the four-year office because no Democratic or independent candidates filed for the seat.
