The state Department of Agriculture reported the following closing prices Wednesday:

U.S. No 1 HARD RED WINTER WHEAT: .19 to .21 higher. 8.13-8.65.

Davis 8.13, Banner, El Reno, Geary, Okarche, Okeene, Watonga 8.40, Manchester 8.42, Alva, Buffalo, Shattuck 8.43, Temple 8.44, Frederick, Lawton 8.45, Cherokee, Medford, Ponca City 8.47, Perry, Stillwater 8.48, Keyes 8.50, Clinton, Hooker 8.52, Hobart 8.55, Weatherford 8.57, Eldorado 8.65, Gulf 9.55.

MILO: Steady to .30 higher. 12.16-13.35.

Alva, Buffalo, Ponca City 12.16, Medford, Shattuck, Weatherford 12.17, Manchester 12.18, Keyes 13.07, Hooker 13.35.

SOYBEANS: Steady to .30 higher. 15.72-16.38. Shattuck 15.72, Ponca City 15.94, Alva, Buffalo, Medford 15.95, Stillwater 15.97, Hooker 16.38, Gulf 17.35 1/2.

CORN: .16 to .17 higher. 7.11-7.92.

CANOLA (CWT): 23.02-23.52: Blackwell 23.02, Dacoma 23.20, Apache 23.24, Clyde 23.30, Enid 23.32, Hillsdale 23.34, El Reno 23.42, Yukon 23.52.

Grade 41, Leaf 4, Staple 34 Cotton in southwestern Oklahoma averaged 69.50

cents per pound.

EGGS: Large 1.57; medium 1.32; small 90 cents.

Oklahoma livestock

The state Department of Agriculture reported the following prices Wednesday at the Oklahoma City Stockyards:

Receipts: 8,841; week ago: 10,380; year ago: 12,255.

Compared to last week: Feeder steers 2-3 higher. Feeder heifers steady to 2 higher, closing steady. Demand good for feeder cattle, especially weights that will finish in April. Late feeder demand mostly moderate. Feeder cattle over 750 lbs lightly tested. Steer calves 2-6 higher. Heifer calves mostly steady to 2); higher. Demand very good for calves, most action on long weaned calves. Quality plain to average, end attractive. Cattle in thin to moderate flesh with gaunt to full weigh-ups. Supply included 65 percent over 600 lbs; 36 percent heifers.
