Letter to the Editor: Wrong move

The move to send a small group of our Marines to protect U.S. embassies is, in my opinion, a big mistake. This type of artificial politics will result in the loss of many good men. I suggest temporarily moving the embassy members to a friendly country and eliminating the funding to the countries from which they departed until those countries control their mobs.
You cannot expect a small group of our best fighting men to handle outnumbered mobs. My younger brother was a good Marine, only to lose his life when his units were overrun by a much larger foe. Our federal administration's attempts to dispel fears that our embassies will be protected by sending in a small group of Marines will only compound the situation.
