Janice “Jan” Eslick, 74, born in Yuba City, CA January 1, 1938 passed away peacefully at home September 24, 2012 in Okmulgee, OK surrounded by family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, and auntie who will be missed dearly. As a devoted wife she spent fifty-six years with Ed and they started their lives together in California, moved to Oklahoma in 1967 then settled in Okmulgee in 1999. Jan was a member of the Okmulgee Elks Lodge Ladies Auxiliary, loved working crosswords, spending time with family and friends, and singing karaoke. She was preceded in death by her parents Lillian and Glenn Wilkerson, her loving husband Edgar, and three sisters: Audrey Sawtell, Rose Stephens and Gertrude Anderson. She is survived by her children; a daughter Sam and husband Scott Shepperd of Bixby, Ok and their children Kate, Leah, and Nori and husband George Schroder; and her son Eric Eslick and wife Carolyn of Okmulgee, OK and their children Megan and Andy, her sisters: Phyllis Perkins of Yuba City, CA and Glenna Kelly of Port Orchard, WA along with many cherished nephews and nieces. A memorial service will be held at Mc Clendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee, OK October 6, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. Services will conclude at the funeral home, 918-756-1677.
