Key play: On the Cowboys' second play, Joseph Randle took a handoff up the middle, shimmied and broke a tackle for a 65-yard run, the longest of his career, surpassing a 62-yarder against Baylor last year.
Key stat: 75. OSU's two first-quarter scoring drives took a combined 75 seconds - 39 plus 36.
Number to know: 3. Texas converted three third downs on its first possession, including a third-and-14 that preceded Jaxon Shipley's 44-yard touchdown grab.

Key play: The only points in the quarter came from a 23-yard field goal by Quinn Sharp. That drive, which started in the first quarter, was set up by 43-yard kickoff return, and then OSU didn't have a play longer than 10 yards.
Key stat: 57. The Cowboy defense held Texas to 57 yards and no points in the quarter.
Number to know: 150. At halftime, Randle already had 147 rushing yards, only 13 yards fewer than the Longhorns' total offensive yards in the first half. OSU, meanwhile, had 283 total yards.

Key play: After Texas took a 28-20 lead, Desmond Roland took the kickoff 36 yards to the Longhorn 43-yard line. Two plays and 24 seconds later, Walsh hit John Goodlett on a 20-yard strike for a touchdown.
Key stat: 10:28. Through three periods, the Longhorns held a 10-minute, 28-second advantage in time of possession.
Number to know: 5. The teams combined to go 5-of-5 in red-zone scoring during the first three quarters.

Key play: On fourth-and-6 from the Longhorn 29, Texas quarterback David Ash connected with D.J. Grant for a 29-yard reception. Four plays later, Joe Bergeron sneaked in for what officials ruled a 2-yard TD, although replays showed the ball may have come out.
Key stat: 8.6. The Cowboys averaged 8.6 yards per play, compared to the Longhorns' 5.5 yards per play. Randle averaged nearly 8 yards per carry.
Number to know: 1,016. OSU and Texas combined to compile 1,016 yards of offense, including 605 through the air.
