Broken Arrow resident opens fire on two burglars

BROKEN ARROW -- A Broken Arrow resident opened fire on two burglars in his home Tuesday morning, police said.

Officers were called after two men forced entry into the home located in the 1500 block of West Nashville Street around 6:20 a.m., according to a release.

At least one of the burglars returned fire, but the homeowner was not injured, said Cpl. Leon Calhoun.

Investigators are unsure whether either of the perpetrators was shot in the gunfight.

A detailed description of the men and their getaway vehicle was not immediately available.
