Orlene Redfield Blake passed away Friday, September 28, 2012 at the age of 82. She was born August 14, 1930 at home in Tulsa, OK to Wilma Ila Redfield who had been recently widowed from her husband, Orlen Scott Redfield. She was the only child born to Wilma and Orly and had 2 siblings after her mother remarried. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Vernon Blake and her parents. Survived by her sister, Rajean Schultz and her husband, Carl; her brother, Bill Williamson, oldest son Mike Blake and his wife, Liz; son Brad Blake; daughter Julie Blake; granddaughter Catherine Blake Houston of Edmond, OK; grandson Stuart Blake; great-granddaughter, Nadia Houston, and great-grandson, Jackson Houston; along with several nieces and nephews. She enjoyed a wonderful life in Tulsa, where she and her husband raised their family. She was a graduate of Webster High School and went on to college at Graceland College in Lamoni, Iowa where she graduated with a business degree, She devoted much of her professional career as a secretary serving Tulsa Public Schools. She spent most of her career at Edison High School where she loved being with students and then went on to work at the Education Service Center. She later left the school district mid joined her husband in his steel fabricating business they owned and operated. Her most important job was wife, mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother. She devoted her life to taking care of her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memorial service 1:30 PM, Wednesday, Rose Chapel at Boston Avenue Methodist Church.
