Say it isn't so. After many years of volunteering at Claremore Veterans Center, we are saddened by all the recent negative publicity.
We play bingo with the patients once a month. We also visit there several times a month. We can honestly say we have never heard a complaint.
We were astounded to read about the man who was scalded and hope and pray nothing like that will never happen again.
As life members of The American Legion Post One, we have had many close friends who spent their last days there. They had nothing but praises for the treatment they received.
Sometimes a wake-up call will make someone more aware of what is going on.
God Bless our veterans. We will continue to work to make their last days as pleasant as possible.
