A man was burned in a house fire Wednesday night that damaged nearly half of the residence.
Firefighters were called to the fire in the 500 block of East Young Street about 8:30 p.m.
EMSA medics transported a 60-year-old man from the home to Hillcrest Medical Center in fair condition, EMSA spokeswoman Kelli Bruer said.
About 40 percent of the house sustained significant fire damage, Fire Capt. Stan May said. Investigators determined the cause of the fire was accidental.
The patient was treated for burn injuries and released, May said.
