Charges were filed Wednesday against a Tulsan who is accused of forcing his way into a woman's apartment and raping her.
Jerry Leon Mason, 49, is charged in Tulsa County District Court with first-degree rape and first-degree burglary.
The woman told police she was attacked about 11 a.m. Sept. 24 after opening the door to her apartment in the 6500 block of East 21st Street, Mason's arrest report says.
The assailant, who was wearing a mask, stuffed a rag into her mouth, shoved her to the ground, removed her clothing and sexually assaulted her, the report says.
The woman told investigators the attack lasted about five minutes and that the rapist then left. She was able to give a detailed description of her attacker.
Mason was arrested about six hours later at his apartment in the same building, his arrest report says. He is in the Tulsa Jail with bail set at $50,000.
